25 Years of growth & cutting-edge new infrastructures

2023 marked the 25th anniversary of The Wine Merchant with our owners Dona Guichard-Bertarelli and Yann Guichard.

This anniversary year was characterized by major changes to our infrastructure. Our commercial and administrative teams moved into new, modern offices in the Euratlantique district, a central strategic area at the heart of Bordeaux.

At the same time, our operations were enhanced with state-of-the-art facilities, enabling us to significantly improve our logistics and service quality.

Built in 2022 and ideally located between Médoc and Saint-Emilion, our new temperature-controlled warehouse spans 6,000 m², divided into three sections of 2,000 m² each including a “vault” area dedicated to rare wines, optimized for picking operations.

A CSR Certification: Bordeaux Cultivons Demain

As a pioneering Bordeaux wine merchant committed to corporate social responsibility (CSR), we are proud to have received the Bordeaux Cultivons Demain certification. This label, granted by the CIVB and based on the ISO 26000 standard, attests to our commitment to an environmentally and socially responsible approach tailored to the wine industry.

With this voluntary initiative, we strengthen our three key commitments:

• Adopting more environmental friendly practices
• Fostering an ethical work culture and employee well-being
• Implementing responsible practices with our suppliers and customers

This commitment represents a significant milestone for The Wine Merchant and for we are determined to develop our efforts with several ongoing projects including initiatives around packaging and plastic waste management.
