A unique approach

How do you capture and summarize Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion’s different expressions, a unique property in the city of Bordeaux? How do we celebrate this precious heritage, the devotion and the patience of the Carmes’s winegrowers driven by the Pichet family for a decade?

Quest for precision, sharing, passing on vintage after vintage… these are the beliefs carried out by the Carmes’s team. This project is a tribute to them.

Hand in hand with the Château from the start of the project, we have always been seeking to share our vision and our common values, symbols of our winemaking adventure.

It is also a way to celebrate this privileged partnership we have had for over ten years between The Wine Merchant and Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

Today we are happy to present ELEMENTS, a unique design, a piece of art to display.

Composition - Breakdown

This project, baptized ELEMENTS, is the embodiment of the natural elements winegrowers are faced with throughout the year. Breaking down and recomposing all these particles, the elements, visible or invisible, essential to furthering knowledge and know-how, with the result that we have only one certainty today, daring and singular: that of keeping together in this quest for accuracy and brilliance.

June 2016

Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion has opened the new wine cellar, a work of art imagined and designed by Philippe Starck and Luc ArsèneHenry. Therefore, ELEMENTS is a tribute to this wine cellar which is at the cutting edge of technology with wine-producing equipment, and which produce the best vintages.

2013 to 2019 vintages

ELEMENTS brings together in its shell various bottle sizes and different vintages released from the Château’s library collection. The chosen vintages are very special and capture a work of over ten years at Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, with a vinification in whole bunches since 2012, and by infusion since the 2016 vintage.

ELEMENTS VI – six bottles of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, 2013 to 2018 vintages.

ELEMENTS III – three magnums hosting 2017 to 2019 vintages of Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

ELEMENTS II – two double-magnums of 2018 and 2019 vintages from Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion.

Special bottles

On this occasion, each bottle has been repackaged at the Château in order to offer a unique and individual bottle. These bottles have been waxed directly at the property and covered with a tracing paper case in order to protect the original label. Oenothèque imposed on the protective tracing paper is also an extra guarantee of the wine’s preservation in Carmes Haut-Brion’s optimal wine cellars.
